Drug and alcohol abuse plays a contributing factor in many criminal acts, including domestic violence, burglaries, armed robberies, fatalities and child abuse as well as sexual abuse. People who drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol have caused deaths of unknowing parties. The fact that people do not believe their judgment is impaired when under the influence, results in these criminal acts.
Domestic violence is rising with more and more cases resulting because one or both parties are under the influence. Some criminal acts of domestic violence as resulted in death to one or more parties involved in the altercation.
