Children admitted to hospital for alcohol abuse up by 20%

THE number of children admitted to hospital with alcohol-related conditions has risen by more than 20 per cent in the past five years, it was revealed today.

Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism: Signs, Effects and Treatment

Alcohol problems are now called Alcohol Use Disorders, and include both abuse and dependence. The problems associated with alcohol use are well known. Alcohol is associated with auto accidents, increased violence, loss of jobs, and loss of lives.
